Le Jardin de Pellinec
The Jardin de Pellinec, nestled at the bottom of the bay of Pellinec, is a wonderful place to admire a large variety of plants. The gardens have been designed according to the differences in soil so as to favor the plant’s natural beauty.
The 4 hectares are organised according to themes: the exotic, Australian and English gardens, the Himalayan alley and the lily pond.
The quest for a harmony of colors and graphics is constant, as well as the showcasing of the rarest plants!
Le Domaine du Kestellic
The park and the garden of Kestellic, with an area of 6 hectares, overlook the Jaudy river with a steep slope. There is a natural Mediterranean vegetation: arbutus, mulberry trees, myrtles, holm oaks and cork oaks.
Numerous plants of very diverse origins grow there outside of their natural environment and adapt well. The very talented gardener, Patrice Bathiany, has improved the state of the garden and enriched it with new plants. A new project is underway, introducing plants from China, with the help and advice of a botanist.
Important structural works have been carried out: paths, basins, walls, water canalisations, land support.
Les Jardins du Botrain
Come and discover the 18th-century manor and its romantic atmosphere, the Japanese garden with minerals and precious stones, the green houses, the majestic English mixed-border, overflowing with flowers, numerous rosebushes, hostas and maples, the medicinal garden, the undergrowth of heather, the pond…
Le Jardin du Grand Launay
In this garden labelled “Jardin remarquable” by the French Ministry of Culture, a series of enclosed spaces surround a country manor of the 17th and 18th centuries, on uneven ground, in the middle of springs and woods.
Throughout the spaces are highlighted by solid structures: fences, arches, low and retaining walls, straight and curved fences, gazebos, painted metal or concrete, standing pieces of slate, schist, and granite. Throughout the trunks of the shrubs, cleaned of their low branches and their foliage, let appear, through their tormented forms, the plantations behind them.
Throughout there are shrubs cut in topiaries: yew, boxwood, lonicera, holly, osmanthus, hornbeam and beech have marked forms, sometimes strict, sometimes supple, sometimes just simple balls, sometimes phantasmatic beings, sometimes clouds and sometimes walls, tables or windows.
A true contemporary garden.
